My Crypto Journey: @Terri_Bsparrow
I started looking into cryptocurrency around 2018, when I had just moved to Dubai. I had been traveling around Thailand right before that, and came across a lot of people working in Thailand and Bali, and thought, Wow! What an incredible opportunity I need to research.
As I moved to Dubai on my own, I didn’t know a single person here. My schedule outside of work gave me some free time. This meant I could focus on setting upon my task of learning everything there was to learn about crypto. Not having a financial background, I knew it wouldn’t be easy. But nevertheless, I began.
I started investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and most of the other top 10 coins. I knew I needed a portfolio for sure, to diversify.
Nothing much happened for a year, but I hadn’t lost anything. Then the Pandemic hit, and that is when I decided to jump in!
I took my last paycheque, and went on a crypto shopping spree in March and April of 2020.
All the books had taught me one thing: market crashes and fear are a time to purchase, being the 10% of people that do not panic are the best investors.
Within a month I had turned $3,000 dollars into $15,000. Then, I started leverage trading. I sat through long videos and books again. I knew this was high-risk, so I only added $200 into my trading account. I started practicing with tiny amounts. Then when the market seemed to present good conditions, I executed my first big trade!
That morning was a huge moment for me, as I had turned $200 into $2000 in 30 minutes.
From there I got into Altcoins. I only invested my profits. Very high risk, but very high gains!
When the whole world was in a Covid frenzy, I was in a wormhole of crypto. Trying not to miss a drop of information. I joined groups and unfortunately, had bad experiences with the people in some of the groups, for being a woman. However, nothing would deter me. I had a lot of people asking me for help, and “how did I do it?”
I decided I wanted to be an advocate for women to get involved. Eventually, I decided to write a short book, so it would make it easy for beginners to get involved: including a chapter about how women are shaking up the system!
By the end of 2020, I had amazed myself with what I had earned: more money than I’ve made in half a year, ever! I am a former salon owner of over 8 years in Spain, and had a good salary in Dubai. However, this was financial independence. I knew something big was coming with cryptocurrency! Having read whitepapers and realizing cryptography is so thorough and based on mathematics: how everything has gone digital in my generation, it seemed only inevitable that money would be the same. I’m not one to miss an opportunity, and love its transparency.
I love that Cryptocurrency is inherently diverse. By design, there are no boundaries. It is open and flexible for anyone, anywhere, to get involved. In the last decade, everything has gone digital and at lightning speed. Blockchain is the future and every once in a while an opportunity will come around to help the ‘little guy. This world needs wealth distribution, in my opinion, and help is needed in many countries. Crypto solves this. The majority of people in third world countries do not have a bank account, but they have a phone.
Now, I am the manager of the BlueSparrow token. I’m overseeing the whole process of what a successful project needs. It’s my passion, and my drive. I wake up happy and excited to be a part of something so wonderful and life-changing. The community makes everything worthwhile.
Our charity aspect fills me with joy. I have done charity projects over the years and now I’m able to get this money to people that need it, directly. People that I’ve met doing the right thing for others. This is what I love.
The power of change.
